Stat Med Emergent Care is owned and operated by Georgetown residents. Dr. Daniel Akers serves as our medical director and his wife, Dana, is our office manager. Dr. Akers attended the University of Illinois and went on to medical school at Midwestern University.

Following graduation, he completed his residency in Emergency Medicine with Texas A&M Scott and White Hospital. Dr. Akers is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

After working for years in high volume emergency departments in Central Texas hospitals, Dr. Akers saw the need for an emergency care clinic in the Georgetown community.

Dan and Dana have been residents of Georgetown for four years and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings and the people who live here. Both are very involved in their church and enjoy traveling, walking and spending time with friends, family and their black lab, Buddy.
